Dress code rant.
I’m going to touch base on this because it has been all over the Internet and it’s driving me insane - dress codes are put in place for a reason - not because boys will get distracted by girls wearing tank tops - even though some backwards ass teachers think that’s a valid excuse - but because you have to present yourself a certain way in certain settings. Your whole life you will be given dress codes until one day you are lucky enough to work for yourself. Some dress codes will be ridiculous. I’ve had jobs where I had to wear khakis and I’ve had jobs where I had wear high heels. Stop bitching about how it’s anti-feminist that you can’t have an exposed bra strap or you can’t wear a crop top. Because you will follow dress codes forever whether you are required to wear a bikini on the job or a full pant suit. High school is meant to prepare you for the real world. Rant over.
